SPRING AND COTSWOLDS LAMBING LIVE 2019
Spring is hopefully here in the Cotswolds and lambing live will soon be underway. Having had them all scanned we are not expecting too many due to the very dry summer we had last year.
However, this is our Cotswold harvest, we hope the weather will be kind to us and the spring sun will shine. I shall be busy cooking for the team keeping them nourished as usual and will definitely be using Mary Berry’s Best Apple Cake Recipe.
We always welcome our guests’ children to the “shed” where they can see what goes on down on the farm. Over the years we have had lots of children cuddling and feeding lambs. It is always a joy to see their faces light up as they get close to such a small delicate little animal.
King John’s Palace
Our new venture, King John’s Palace, is progressing. The builders are in and the excitement is growing. Imagine following in the footsteps of ten kings and queens. Henry and Elizabeth of York certainly left their mark. We will offer this lovely big farmhouse to guests later this year so watch this space for news on progress.
Those signed up for my newsletter will be the first to hear when bookings are open. Here is just a snapshot of one of our Royal connections. Sleep where Royalty once slept, tread where Royalty once trod.
If you follow me on facebook or twitter there are further updates on building progress.
Finally, the Bluebells
After lambing live, spring will be truly sprung and then summer will be upon us. Don’t forget the carpets of bluebells and our world springing into life.
There are many places where you can see carpets of bluebells not least in the wood at the top of our farm.
